needs ideas for getting a crap loud of money ?

hey i need to get 50,000 by a boat for getting to thanatos, and i need ideas for getting money. i heard going to kree was a good idea,and pickpocketing shop owners and sleeping so they get new money, but i have no skill in pickpocketing. any other good locations with lots of money. i have approx. $17,000, so all ideas are needed.

the way i get money is by picklocking vendors stock (mainly gun smiths) then sell back to them and if your a tchie keep the skimatics

 

i have no skill in pickpocketing though.

if i have a 1 in pickpocketing, and then get apprentice training, will i be able to do this ? cause ill gladly spend a character point on it

 

What good will pickpocket do you? You need lockpicking! :roll:

 

Get skill in lock picking. Then at night pick the locks to the chests in the shops, take everything, then sell, rinse, repeat.

They best way is to get the key off of Rusty and just sell stuff to him, and then go in his room and take all the stuff back and sell it again. Do that over and over again.

 

Ahh well there is several ways my favourite is to pickpocket riztesse for his key then you go back into his bedroom and oppens the chest that is there. then you just take the money. then you drag the picture so that riztesse does not enter it on his way to bedd wait for a day open the chest and take the money that is in the chest. THe amount waries from 600 til 4000.
There is however some poisones gauntlets that eksists on the island of despair that will kill any person wearing them just drop them next to the person and wait until he picks them upp.

 

ok, then how much skill is needed to pickpocket a general store keeper ?

 

Not very much... but a lot of PATIENCE will be required since you can only pcik 100 gold at the time. So don't go pickpocketing the big cash untill you're a master and are virtually unstopable.

To get big cash fast just get picklocking skill (like mentioned), it will work a lot faster and won't annoy you that much like pickpockting (non-master) when you have to reload just too many times.

 

Well, I never used pickpocket or picklock skills and I have about 100.000 gold by selling all that staff I loot or I make (tech). And I'm just an expert in bartering. And I haven't been in need of a big purchase -like a boat- yet. So, if you are a techy or you have Magnus with you, why don't you keep on selling compined items? _

 

Just go to riztesse there you only need to steal one key once.

eh, ive just put so much into this game, and my only other option is to quit. i dont want to put a lot into pickpocketing, because im lvl 41, and want to put the rest of my skill into melle dodge, strength, and dexterity. im a mage, but i feel im pretty set with spells.
i calculated it, and it will only take about 312 pickpockets to get 50,000 , but ill need to get more than this, to succede elsewere in the game

 

Just murder some people you won't need anymore and which have a reasonable amount of gold.

when you've bought the ship just kill the men that sold it to you and get your money back (they ripped you off anyway)

 

Say Legolas: why don't you just do the Stringy-Pete quest??? That's one of the three options you have on obtaining a ship remember.

 

well, being excited that i finnally made it to stringy pete since i heard so much about it on this forum, i thought that killing him would get me his ship, wich when i saw the quest walkthrough of it, this wasnt possible

 

Killing him???? Yes it's possible... just freaking hard, that's all. But you can just do his quests for him and he'll give you the ship.
(Pete's the hardest enemie you can possibly face throughout the game... I suggest disarming them when you try and you might make it).

 

I just got Sebastian with me, and I'm making the most of him (in money terms I mean...)
I give him all those rubbish and he combines them to explosions witch I sell for a LOT of money... And Magnus makes eyegears for me - about 1200 gold each I think...
