Where do my “leave the group� followers go?

While playing Arcanum for the first time I once told Sogg to leave the group and after some time I found him drinking at Shrouded Hills Inn.
This time I told both Sogg (while I was in Shrouded Hills) and Vollinger to leave the group and neither of them appeared in the inns I first found them at.
Is there some rule regarding as to where my followers go so that I could get them join me again. It's quite important to me since I joined Torian Kel though I don't like him (my game crashed twice since he joined) so I'd just like him to leave my group and take him again just before I'll go to the Void.

 

It depends on how long you let them wait. After you get "Persuation Apprentice", they will wait longer. Apparently, nobody seems to know the exact length that follower will wait. Becareful though, some follower will never join you again if you let them wait too long.

 

They usually go to wherever you found them the first time.

That means Virgil will go to the crash site.

I have no idea why he seems to think that's a good place to wait.

 

I had Virgil WAIT HERE for 4 game days and he was there when I came back

YeaYea - I guess Virgil just likes you for some reason.

 

It depends on the follower and the place where you left them. Some wait nearly indefinately, some return to their start, and some disapear. Waiting is always dangerous.

Followers in my experience always return to their original location, with any items they previously had in their possesion.

 

Darkwalker - If you want to keep saying

, make a signature saying it and attach it to your posts.

 

I am playing a character with 4 charisma and Virgil still follows me.

And I do wonder why.



Does anyone know of a very good prowler NPC and where I can get him/her?


I'm more into the subtle gaming experience rather than hack and slash.

You would be surprized at what you can achieve with good prowling skills.
