Its supposed that Arcanum autoconfigures depending on your PC specs, but the fact is that my P2 266 w 96MB & TNT2 runs crappy in great places such as the village. SO,anyone knows of a way to lower textures details or anything that could make me run the game smoother?. Im scared what the full version will do with my computer LOL Ty [ This Message was edited by: jpp1jpp1 on 2001-07-05 12:22 ]
Well, I'm afraid you're out of luck here, as Arcanum doesn't have any real detail settings or anything. All I can think of are these things: 1. defragment your harddrive 2. make sure no other software is running in the background 3. get the latest drivers for the TNT-2 from http://www.nvidia.com
Most likely your running choppy due to that one villager that has no artwork. Is it all around town or just some places. Try looking around for the shadow, and stay away from it.
Yeah when the sprites are missing it causes a slowdown in the game (Which I still don't understand why, anyone want to take a stab at that?)
That's because windows thinks it's smart and keeps searching through your whole computer again and again every 0.01 seconds or so. [ This Message was edited by: Grim Squeaker on 2001-07-06 02:26 ]
Don't we already blame enough on Bill Gates? I mean the o-zone, global warming, El Ninio(Sp?), aliens, Sinbad, Crapy windows 95/98/00, and wars, when will it stop... Oh wait! Oops! He is the cause of all those things. Sorry!
