Okay, I've scoured the Dredge in the Wheel Clan front to back, top to bottom. Sent every baddie in the bloody place to meet his maker. But I've found absolutely no clues as to where the dwarven king is. I'm guessing it has something to do with the black chest that contained the toy train... but I'll be damned if I know what to do now. Help, anyone?

Also, while I have your attention... is there any way for Magus to learn new technical skills? Pure ore and spike traps are dandy, but surely at level 30 he's capable of something more...

It has nothing to do with the train. That is part of a quest. If you have searched the dredge entirely, you should have found him.

Thre is a large room with several furnaces in it. There is also many dead seething masses and ore golems in the room. In the side of the wall there is a cave entrance.

As you must know Aragoth, I am the Self-appointed Unoffical forum Welcomer. So, it is my duty to say, "Welcome to the forum Aragoth!" :wavey:

The other way in is to get the acting king to reveal the secret passage under his throne.

rosenshyne, you could try welcoming at least once.

It was an hour and 45 minutes. Do you think I just sit here and wait for new people to post? I do have a life you know.

    Talk your way in

You need the high CHA and Persuasion but talking is definatly the easiest way in. I don't know if you have to listen to him yammer on about the Stone and the Shape but when I did so my moderatly persuasive guy got him to open the secret tunnel under the throne and it goes straight to the king.

you only have to listen to all the stone and shape stuff if you have an itelligance of 9, or something... i had hella charisma and pers, and i got to go under the throne, but i didn't have to listen to him blabber...

If you pay attention to the Stone and shape stuff, you can use it to get the king to return to lead his people.

supposedly, if you have the right combination of stats, and you pick the right options, the king will join your party...
