How do I find the Wheel Clan glasses?

Where can I find the Wheel Clan glasses? I can't get to the Isle of Despair because there is a bug. Is there any other way of getting them?

 

If you can persuade that dwarf that gave you the coordinates to come along with you, you can take his. You can also get the glasses maker in I think is Ashbury to make you a pair if you have two of the jewels he requires, and I think 1000 gold.

 

what does the bug do? how is it keeping you from the isle? and you only need one kathorn crystal to make the glasses...

The bug keeps me from getting into the Black Mountain Mines, which triggers a ot of things. What dwarf gives you the coordinates?
And i do have a kathorn crystal.

 

oh, wow... the dwarf previously mentioned is on the isle of despair, he tells you the location of the wheel clan, and you can steal the schematic to make the glasses... or steal the glasses... or convince him to leave with you... but if you can't even get into the bmc... personally, i would start a new game, because you probably won't be able to trigger the right dialogue... the game will probably treat it as though your cheating...

I have tried starting new games a lot and it still won't work. As I enter the entrance of the BMC it crashes back to the desktop. Is there any other way of getting the glasses?

 

so your saying Black Mounain is the only place to get the crystal?..are there any other options?

 

No, what he's trying to say is that you find a ton when you aren't looking for them, but you never find them when you are looking for one.

 

If your game keeps crashing, you need to re-install it. If that doesn't work -- then there must be a conflict with your hardware, or you have a defective copy of Arcanum.
I wouldn't bother trying to continue the game until I cleared up that problem.

If you uninstall and then reinstall won't it delete all your saved games?

 

don't know, i never tried it... although i might have to, cuz i just found a new bug in my game... it's minor, but it's pissing me off...

 

When you uninstall you get the option to keep your saved games. The problem is that those saved games may be corrupted. Try it anyway.
