I'ma bad.. bad boy. I go around killing people just for fun. I ransack homes, and take people's family's lives. I just killed the Gun smith in tarant.. get this... because he wouldn't sell me his gun! I must confess. In ever other Roleplaying game I've ever played I wanted to be the valant warrior who makes everybody love him. Take Gothic for instance. I was such a good person in that game. Hehe, still though I love being the villian for once. Then on the other side I feel bad for murdering everybody in Shrouded hills. I sicked Dog on them while they slept, and they fell after 1 or 2 hits. And for those who weren't sleeping I backstabbed them, and Dog finished them off. I wear nothing but evil clothing, and kill anybody who gets smart with me. Can anybody else relate with my character?
I always do that. It depends on what type of mood I'm in when I start a game that determines if I play good or evil.
i usually have a +90 reputation, and i kill everyone who pisses me off, i never pay for anything, and no lock is safe from my coniving grasp... it's all in the way you play it...
Whenever I try to be evil I end up with a +100 reputation...even with a couple of towns full of corpses...The only time I ever managed to keep a negative reaction was when I took the "sold your soul" background, still haven't played a "good" character in arcanum... It's just too hard to be evil - Pure good's the way to go, killing people for looking you cross-eyed, or talking to you, or expecting you to pay them for something...
It is quite hard to be evil in Arcanum - very few quests cater for evil characters. However, it can be done, and I did it. You have to take evil quests to lose reputation, not kill people.
