I was just wandering aimlessly and found a place labled "Strange Pond" and another place called "The Bog" Now the bog had a cool sword in it but the strange pond seems kind of pointless. There are just a ton of animals that attack my group there. Is this place part of some secret quest or anything?
Nah, I dont think its perdinant to a quest. Theres lotsa little places around Arcanum like that, they just have a semi-rare item or an unusually high concentration of monsters.
All locations that do not pertain to any quest or the storyline have a magic, mystic, or arcane chest, usually in the center of the area, but not always...
I had trouble with the cold area. I couldn't get in and when I finally did, I had trouble getting out.
that's cuz it's kind of like a maze... after you get to the center, you could have just gone to the world map to leave...
