Sorry if anyone has mentioned this, but I found this out and I thought it was too spiffy to pass up. Normally when you receive apprentice training and ask about where to get expert training they say in so-and-so town or island, all unavailable in the demo. But then I got apprenticed in haggle at the general store, and later happened to talk to the bartender in the inn. He offers to train you to expert in haggle for 500gc. So now I have almost maxed out the haggle skill, and am an expert to boot! I now pay only about 6% of the full price of things on average (2-10%). Whooo hooo!
I think that is a 6% markup not 6% of total cost. Also, the nice thing about expert training is that you can sell just about anything to anyone like armor to the herbalist etc.
I'm 100% sure that Jongle can train you to be an app in persasion (I have then game open with my guy standing next to Jongle right now).
Also has anyone noticed that besides a couple quests and some training Jongle is useless. He should sell some shoes( in SH you cant get any better then worn boots) or some enhanced equipment. [ This Message was edited by: Enzo101 on 2001-06-16 14:08 ]
Am i the only one that thinks Jongles 1st quest reward is cheap? I mean you kill a dwarf(which would make u evil), then you blow up the engin. and you get 3 or 4 potions.
Well yes but the points is this: *Goes into mage mode* "It is another victory of the magickal over the technological"
Grim Squeaker right... [ This Message was edited by: Enzo101 on 2001-06-22 13:06 ]
How did you guys blow up the engine? I tried a stick of dynamite and a grenade (which move one space and killed me.) and it still has 20% left. (Is it easier to kill objects in beta?)
After killing the poor dwarf, place the dynamite as close as possible to the engine and run as hell away from it (you can hide behind the whole machine). The clue here is CLOSE TO THE ENGINE, or you can chop with any axe. After explosion I had like 1 point to destroy this engine.
