Ey! Erm... Vigil runs away half way through the game, and I was wondering if there is any way of finding him again before the end. And if you can actually locate his "master" guy. (forget the name). Also, at a part in the game, I had to find this inventor guy who had dissappeared. I followed the path from his shack and found a portal from the void. I was wondering if this has anything to do with the BMC's gate thingy? ~Nomad
Joachim will show up when you resurrect Virgil. Use the magical trap you find on the inventer's body on the portal. Remember to take the news and Liam's journal back to his Mother after you close the portal.
The Sobbing Onion is one of the bars in Caladon, more specifically. Go to the side room with the pool table and the two Thieves Underground people and the trapdoor is in the corner of the room. As you know, Virgil is down there, have been killed by some shady characters down there as well. Joachim shows up while you're talking to the resurrected Virgil. Or, if you've followed an evil path, he'll show up slightly beforehand... Liam's workshop. If you follow the path you will find Liam's body, which includes a magical trap to use on the portal. There's another one in his house I think. I also thought it might have something to do with the Void and the BMC, considering the monsters that pop out, but who knows...
my way of solving it was very different. i am a mage and therefor couldn't use Diamss' devices. i simply killed every creature that puped out of the portal and eventualy they stopped. then i throw fire spells on the portal (fire level 3), and together with virgil we demolished it eventualy. needless to say that virgil was not kidnapped in my game.
