Extra Storage Space Hints

A common question is "Where am I gonna put all my extra JUNK!!??". The answer is simple, the most effective way to cary as little as possible is to find a secure container and put everything you will need later or even THINK you will need later in it. Extra ammuniton, items you cant use yet, extra potions etc. WARNING: DO NOT, DO NOT DO NOT USE A SHOPKEEPER'S STORAGE CONTAINER, YOUR ITEMS WILL BE RECYCLED INTO THE GAME. Personally I prefer the safe in the Tarant Hall Of Records. Go down the stairs to the Hall of Records and go ALL the way down untill you hit a wall, then turn left and go thru that door, you gotta pick the lock or break it down tho. There are some rats but easily taken care of. It is recomended that you put a trap on your storage container. While rare, thieves WILL come and pilfer your savings, traps add extra deterences to that. Magelock is not recomended because it will wear off and is a constant drain on your Fatigue.

A cautionary warning, DO NOT place items on the floor near a shopkeeper. He will pick the item up and add it to his inventory. Though some shopkeepers wont do it. I dropped a Shreck's Multibarreld Pistol Schematic next to a gunsmith in Tarant, he didnt move to pick it up, in 10 years (game time) he didnt pick it up. Also, be VERY carefull about how you drop things. It isnt recomended that you toss anything. Ive killed many a shopkeeper by accidentily hitting his window with a piece of coal and having my followers swarm it before I could say NO. Depositing items you dont want in a nearby trash can can also be usefull. If you toss a piece of coal in a trash can and then discover "Oh, I needed that", instead of rooting thru other trash cans or paying 4 gold for annother piece. You can go back to your trash can and dig out the coal.

EXTRA NOTE* Something really funny to try, In one of the towns, there is a BIG ass boulder sitting in a guy's field, it takes up almost all your inventory so you gotta empty out your inventory. Take the stone into your backpack and cary it back to town. Throw it at a guy, it kills him INSTANTLY!!

I think its more of your worthless spam to get your post count back up. Thats what I think of it.

 

Why not just use the Inn? It's less of a hassle :grin:

 

Well you are entitled to your own opinion, but, unfoutuneately (even if I cant spell it) your wrong. I couldnt care less about my post count, and believe me, there are other more effective ways of raising a post count.
And yes you certainly can use the Inn, Its just my preferance to use the safe under the Hall of Records. And welcome to the Forum Uber.

The chest at the inn in Blackroot is good too.

I found it best to have stuff in easy-to-reach places. Like near the trainstation in Tarant - since you come back to that place often enough.

 

Also, to get an unlimited storage space, kill a shopkeeper and empty out the container in wich he stores all his junk in to sell. Then put whatever you like in it.
