I just picklocked the safe in the zoological place in Tarant, and got the map and the metal objects, went to the device, and it said to get Durin's Truth from the Iron Clan. Where is the Iron Clan?
Correction, the voices said: "Get the book of Durins truth and you will find the wheel clan". So find the book first.

so this is strictly a quest for the theives underground? I'm not a part of that organization, so I guess that counts me out....I will DEFINITELY have to join the T.U. the next time I start over. (almost about to beat the game right now)
The search for the Iron Clan is *not* a quest from the thieve's underground. It's a quest given by the historian within the Wheel Clan. The historian also gives you a schematic for a key to open that safe at the zoological society.
sorry if I misguided you here. It's not an underground quest. I was just saying the HOUSE where the book is is ALSO one of the underground quest locations. sorry again. :sad:
Yes it's true. I was mistaken for a dwarf. But since I didn't have a beard, he immediately thought I was a real life stennar. It just went downhill from there.
Besides the T.U. quests are evil! So only do them if you are evil or need some extra exp! And besides to finish the Iron clan quest you must go with the mainquest anyway... just talk with Erik obsidian a dwarfhistorian in the wheelclan as mentioned above and continue with the mainquest!
