    Arcanum
    (Based on how Fallout 3 is looking to be)
    (And theoretical time of release)
    (And likely system requirements)

    It's really quite a stupid question, considering one game is nearly finished, and there are absolutely no details on the other, and you haven't specified many things about Fallout 3 such as development team, and 3dness, and all that.

    Agrees with Wojit, that it realy is a bit irrelevant since Arcanum will be out and all we have on FO3 is that they want to make it 3D with RT fighting. :roll:

    If FO3 would be as good as I would want it to be, I just would want it as bad as I want Arcanum. :grin:

    Just want to recognize first of all that the question was ARCANUM 2(TWO) or FO3. What a cruel, cruel question. I'm thinking Arcanum 2, but mostly because the more numbers you throw on the end of a title the less like it's progenitor it is. Therefore most 2s will be better than most 3s. Plus I'm really into this Mechanics/Magick thing right now. :wink:

    I change my vote to that I would want both, and that they are being made by different companies so it should not be any choice as it is. :smile:

    Arcanum 2!!! Yeah, baby!!

    Hands down, Arcanum wins the day. I'm probably going to buy both, if they get out, but the one I'd be most eagerly awaiting would without doubt be Arcanum 2.

    Mike if you will look up the Arcanum Graphics thread starting I believe on the third page there is looong discution about that subject. I have no opinion right now and I'm not about to judge the game before even official announcement. I consider myself Fallout fan and no mater what the game is going to have 2D or 3D I'm buying for sure.

    But coming back to the topic of this thread... DAMN you Chris, this decision is like "be or not to be"

    i say CIV III *g*

    sorry guys, but the best game ever for me was civ2, and then came SMAC and made my day yet again.

    personally i'm not against fao3 being 3d, actually take the unreal 2 or even morrowind engine(just tweak it alittle)and you are up an rolling imo.

    but still civ3, i really want that title.

    yea SMAC the most addictive game ever.

    I played that a few 1000 hours
    and half of those as deidre

    i have absolutely no clue about what both games will be about. i am an avid fan of both but i will wait and see what the games will be like if i'm going to play them , or even love love them.

    heck, fallout tactics was a disappointment, and i can't say i wasn't hoping for a game like that to come out.

    long story short, i'll wait and see.

    Gotta blasphemy here for a sec. I've never player any of the FO games. Never even picked the box up from a store shelf to look at it. Thought it would be something that I wouldn't like. Reading various posts and threads around here, I may be wrong in that assumption.

    MP - agreed with you on CivII.

    Arcanum 2 may be good, but I'd like to wait and see also to find out how well 1 does and how good of a play it is.

    I liked Civ2 and SMAC, although Civ2 was frustrating at times. There was nothing more annoying that an enemy power nuking one of your cities and then having your senate force a peace treaty.

    i actually enjoyed the expansion pack to SMAC more then the orignal game.

    i rarely used the alien races in the games though.

    but anyway my favorite factions was

    spartans
    gaia
    pirates
    and the androids.

    i always hated the morganaites(so pathetic), the Hive, the cyber peeps, the cultists and the UN peeps.

    some i learnt to hate as they always was bitching down on me, or that they simply was so annoying to deal with.
