    Welcome to the forum htismage!

Yes, wearing a nice suit will improve npc's reaction. The charm spell can also be useful. U must remove that helm which lowers reaction, too.

Buy hey, you don't need to keep rizettze alive to advance in the game. Just make sure to take his key

Why don't you just try it? BTW the only suit that increases reaction is the Red Smoking Jacket (I'm not sure it's the right name but it's definitely red) which can be bought in Tarant.

You need Riestezze to only to tell you that Schylers reside in Tarant - just go to Tarant if you killed him, I doubt this info is necessary for their shop to appear  You can also simply load your earlier save - after all you're not that far into the game.

So his reaction of zero WILL go up if I remove the negative reaction items, or is it zero permanently because I killed him?

I actually AM far into the game (32nd level) but I've found that guy will buy stuff that no-one else will and it's worth decent money.

I'm using the Shrouded Hills temple as my permanent residence, so maybe I should just take up residence somewhere else...

The Tarant guy near the dock buys also (almost) everything. And u can use mr. soc's building as a permanent house.

Ok, then this begs the question.

Where is the best place to take up residence, both for coolness sake and for the sake of good gameplay? I killed the mayor of Blackroot, maybe I should live there?

Also, where is the guy near the docks, and who is "Mr. Soc's"?

Sorry for misjudgement of your advancement in the game.

As HED854 said that guy in Tarant docks will buy almost everything. Riestizze is the only one who will buy things like railroad spikes - but do you really need cash so badly at 32lvl?

I doubt the red jacket will remove the negative reaction since you killed him. Perhaps charm as it was suggested. Also Shrink allows 100% mages to buy in tech shops so maybe he would start dialog if you cast this spell on you.

I chose blackroot personally (railroad, ships and not such a great slowdon as I had in Tarant).

Well near the docks  Seriously though when you cross the long bridge and are at the enterance to Tarant head a bit down and there'll be a guy at a table with a Half-Ogre standing by him.

Thanks for all your help, guys.

I'm going to get me a nice big mansion in Blackroot, since I now have teleport and can go anywhere anyway...

laugh it up...it was an accident

you can't DROP things in this game, as I found out during this unfortunate situation.

Rizette didn't want to buy my geode, so I attempted to DROP it. Well, as you know, I THREW it and it hit the poor bastard in the FACE.

He attacked me, and before I had a chance to react, both myself and Virgil got a free shot on him. One dead shopkeeper...

    You can't drop items?
Just drag the item to the drop icon on the right side of the interface. If that doesn't work for you, there's a serious glitch in your game.

    That button does nothing.

I end up dragging items to the little viewfinder in the upper left and "tossing" them...

There's an icon right below the "hand" or "use" icon. It doesn't work for you?

Haha, very funny. That was the first time id played that quest. And yes there is a Drop button beneath the Use Box in your inventory screen.
