where's the worst location in world of Arcanum, or in other word - bugs. mine's 'the cold place'. once i step in, virgil turned into combat mode with something, and he did't move. BECUZ THE ROCKS & UNENTERIBLE OBJECTS STOPPED HIM!!! and so, he bugged at that place forever. also all my other followers.
tarant. The lagging was impossible to deal with. This sucks, cuz there was a lot of really cool stuff in there.
flamethrower, your problem at The Cold Place was caused because your followers caught sight of monsters hiding in the bushes. If you have an archer with you when this happens (like Raven), she'll shoot the bastards out of the trees and you can go on your way. If you don't have an archer or a gun, just run far enough away, and eventually your followers will... well, follow you. Worst place for me is Vendigroth Ruins, where Virgil the Dumbass turns into a wall.
Worst location hey? Hmmm...I'd have to say that I really don't like the Dredge - good experience yes, but I really just don't like the amount of time it takes to slog through it. _________________ "We will either find a way or make one" - Hannibal [ This Message was edited by: Jarinor on 2001-12-22 01:27 ]
if theres sprite things i hate it. most of all the archer ones. they think there so clever. they only slow the game down and there move is slow. [ This Message was edited by: carlstar on 2001-12-22 19:33 ]
Worst location for me is ... *hesitates, considering consequences of his next words* ... the little walled in area in the Ancient Maze (near Dernholm). The one with the sword in it. *runs and hides*
feldon kane pls can you tell me the map coordinates for the vendrigoht ruins i have been searchin in the vendrigoth wastes for ages thx
307 W, 587 S. But I don't think that'll do you much good. You'll find the Ruins if you just follow the storyline.
You're not far enough into the game then yet. It's the second last critical location (the last being the final area of the game), so you'll come across it at the appropriate time.
Worst place for me was the teleportals in the void. Several times I teleported in to combat, but none of the NPCs would move and let me past. It didn't matter how often I hit F2 or F3 or whatever, they all just said "OK boss" or "Arf" or whatever and stood still. On one occasion one NPC ran into combat and got completely butchered by nine or ten of those tentacled things (Slaver Arraya?). The only thing I could do was cast Harm over and over until all the bad things were dead. Cheers Craig
2 that i hate Yeah, I really hate the portal stuff in the void, just very tedious teleporting to all the differet floating land pieces full of a plethora of annoying, easy to kill small creatures. I also didn't care for Caladon. I mean, nice place, but for some reason, it was just incredibly laggy, talk about a resource hog. But that's okay, cuz I assassinated the king and then ended up slaying alot of the people in the city walking around (mainly laggy in that one sort of "strand" area with all the shops and water to the right of you when heading into the city), and that alleviated the performance issues. MUHAHAHAH!
