Hello I am new to the forum and to this game. I was wondering what I should take. Technology I like because I want to become a gun smither or electrcity. I am not certain about magic, but could you give me some insight.
Welcome to the forum, Xithias! :wavey: Playing a mage is much easier than playing a Techie. You might want to play through the first time as a mage.
And don't forget the 3rd option which is neither. My Gnomish "Shopkeeper's apprentice" concentrated soley on Haggling, Combat and Body-Building. As he's the Master of Haggling he's become stinking rich and the whole party is equipped with mega weapons & armour and I'm not yet half way through the story! Being neither biased towards Magic or Technology allows him to use a very wide variety of items and there's quite an advantage to that
poo poo on magic shtuff, is what i say. Personally, it makes the game "unreal" in my POV. That's why i loved the fallout jazz. It was all "tech based". Know what i mean? But I will very excitably admit that the magic is friggin' sweet!
Well my Summoner/Force/Teleportation Mage was also filthy rich but their is no really good stuff to buy anywhere...
I enjoyed playing techie character a lot, I have maxed both Gunsmithy and Electricity but I started the game 3 times before I learned how to distribute my CPs properly. So you might want to try mage or melee char the first time. Though I'm plying a mage now and it's awfully easy with the Harm spell.
