Sudden plummeting of intelligence?!?

My level 43 fighter went from a respectable intelligence of 9, to a dismal 1. As such, his dialogue options are quite limited, as is my patience.

This occurs whilst in the Punami temple, after the dark elf city (Regardless of if Virgil leaves or not). I tried to load a previous save, but the same thing happens again.

Anyone know what's going on?

The strange thing about this situation is that everything is exactly the same as it has been for the past 8 or so levels. I have not equipped any new gear, nor have I picked up any new items.

I just walked into the punami temple in Caladon. I immediately checked my intelligence and it was still 9. As I walk up the the priest (Alexander?), Virgil calls my attention towards him, and this is when my intelligence deminishes to a pitiful 1.

p.s. I made a slight mistake in reporting my character. He is actually level 47, he has melee and doge maxed (no other skills learned), and his background is ran away from the circus.

Is this enough info?

You're level 47 and you don't have any other skills? Where are you putting all your CP's?

 

My character is a human warrior with a 100 rating towards good.

I decided to max out my strength, dexterity and constitution. After this, I started averaging out my charisma (a few extra followers) and also averaging out my other stats with a slight bias towards willpower.

Followers are Virgil, Sogg Mead Mugg, and the Dog.

I am starting to lean towards the possibility of a bug in the game since nobody else has encountered the same problem.

 

I never have. But I seem to recall someone mentioning it in a thread, once. But it's buried.
Save that game and start a new one. Be patient, and someone may have an answer for you.

maybe if you try and do something else first. go fo a walk and kill something.
tell virgil to wait and then talk to alex maybe. could be something to do with the dialouge.

if all else fails just kill everyone.

finally... i was about to say that... you can gave your character 100 character points anytime you want. but you will lose most 'fun' part of the game.
