    hi, i just got arcanum as i was a big fan of fallout, but as this is quite different i need some help in what type of char to be there are so many in this game.

    so if you could just give a newbie some pointers that'll be real helpful

    Well, it all depends wat type of character you want to play. You can be a mage, which requires alot of willpower. Fighter/mage that's str/dex/will. You can be a tech which requires alot of intelligece. Gunfighter/tech that's int, perception. fighter/tech str/dex/int. Of course a thief, a thrower/mage or thrower/tech. But you can also be a tech or mage dimplomat. That requires charisma, beauty.

    thx for your help, but what type of char would you reccomend for a newbie, im thinking of some sort of diplomat with high persuasion and charisma and the like but dont know to go with magic of tech,

    Trust me on this: if it's not in the FAQ, it's not in the forum (yet), and the only way to get those smileys is to use the IMG tag (check in the FAQ under BBCode). I will put in a couple of extra smilies as soon as the owner of that smiley site OKs it.
