ok.. Ive been reading some of the other posts. Was virgil suposed to leave my party at some point.. i just finished a the gaem and good old virgil was there to the bitter end. HE only wanted to leave once... and that was when he went to go look at the grave that one time..and then he joind right bachk up. HE never told me much about his background and i never net Joacim. IM sorely dissapointed...is there ANY point to keeping him around?... it was a nice place to put all the majic stuff i didnt want.. also..is there a way to dostribut points for npcs for them?? Oh yea..one more thing..offtopic. What the autoloading mechanism for? is there an automatic weapon the gaem somewhere..like a seceret gun or smoething?? the best hting i found was the warbringer..and the sniper rifle BEFORE the patch.... and the blade launcher i supppose. THe rest was pretty lame (although bronswiks was cool looking)..ok that wraps it up. THanks for putting up with this absurdly long message!
I think Virgil is supposed to leave you before you enter the dark elf city. (I did not give him a chance to leave then cause when he returns he looses everything you gave him and he looses levels as well. The Elder never met up with us either but he did argue point out Alexander and he did argue with Nashradin (spellcheck). other then that I could have done without him.
It's been mentioned before, and I'll mention it again. With the 1074 version, Virgil stays at the same level with the same inventory. No more resets for him. Virgil is supposed to leave you after going to T'sen Ang and learning whatever it is that you learn there. You can visit T'sen Ang, not learn about what it is you are supposed to and leave without Virgil buggering off. When Virgil leaves you, he can be found in the basement of the Sobbing Onion in Caladon.
plus he's dead... and you gotta deal with 4 thiefs that killed virgil... you can bring him to alive with the scrolls near by, if you already taken the scroll. say good bye to your old friend virgil... once you bring him to alive, he will rejoin you. also he will tell you his true form, he will also tell you he lost a gambling match, and he doesn't have enough money for it, and he got his brother killed because of that. "Thank you. Thank you for bring me back." -Virgil
But thats just it..virgil never left after the tsen ang thing..( that is the dark elf city..right?) I killed the lady. Convinced the Mocholean hand not to kill me..freed the hostages...and destroyed the entire village...virgil helped He never left
I think that if you help the half-ogres there, Virgil won't leave either, he'll be too busy fighting with you, therefore the script won't be executed.
One thing, apparently you have to be outside of the entrance to the city before he'll leave. If you are still inside the tree area (not up top but where you first came in and talked to the guards) and go to the world map he won't leave. Go out into the "fields" and it should trigger his leaving. I found that sometimes I have to click on him to get it started. - Edythe
and one more thing are you following the good side or the evil side cause wat happened to me was virgil never left when i was doing the evel quest after butchering stillwater
Thanks everyone..you were a lot of help. I really just kept him around to fonally meet Joacim. Afte all..i told him so many levels ago..that i would go back with him to find Joacim- and i am a man of my word. BUt no wi know i was SUPPOSED to meet him but the script never triggered. Yea- go team.
if you killed the good guys in stillwater, you're following the evil path. if you did't kill em', and leave the dark elf city normally, you're following the good path. if you destroyed entire dark elf city, and the guards're trying to kill you, you're following BUG path... pretty simple hun?
Beautiful! my reward for leveling a city of evil!...adn how i made them atone for their sins against good. ANd this is my payment. BAH!
Virgil is supposed to go away when you leave t'seng ang. But if you have to fight the two guys at the exit then he won't have the time to say he want to leave and will stay with you. I think so, but I may be wrong... 0
