Does that automatically entail "infantile reversion" based around "craving the mouthfeel of milk"? Feels like there's a gap here. Or are you saying that there's no such thing ever as anyone possibly liking milk without infantile reversion?

Seems like a pro-milk lynch mob is forming. I hope you wear Friesian-styled KKK outfits.

    Good morning.

And eggs are for birds to reproduce, biologically, but again we've engineered a massive industrialised process specifically to produce vast quantities of hen's eggs to consume. I really don't see what that's got to do with anything.

My only guess is that it's like how homophobia is said to stem from fear of one's own homosexual tendencies, and so the reason ytzk is quite so frantically condemning milk drinkers as infantile is that he is aware of his own secret kinks that revolve around reverting to infancy, and so is loudly protesting any sign of it in others. But I assure you, most people like milk for banal reasons, such as its refreshing qualities. I also happen to like eggs very much, but I have no desire to reproduce with chickens.

As someone wise once said, "I don't care if you suck your thumb or wear a diaper for fun, old chap". Honestly, ytzk, we don't care how you feel about drinking milk, just be honest with yourself and stop projecting onto other people.

Good morning, with eggs and milk for breakfast.

My point is adults deal with their own needs without complaining about their wants.

The milk->booby->baby->narcissist assumption was hyperbole. That sort of evolutionary psychology is how I look at the world, even though it doesn't count as a clinical disorder, it's why apes like milk, isn't it?

So, like the narcissism jab was just a friendly insult, and the baby loves milk connection was more an analogy for the overall immaturity of complaining about the taste of water rather than a Freudian analysis.

    Good morning.

I guess we're all infants at heart.

    Good morning.

    Quite, quite.

I try to be more zen in my old age, but I remain a snowflake.

Being a buddhist hobo has given me a relatively extreme view of needs versus wants, and furthermore, being middle-aged has left me entirely bereft of patience for the niggling health complaints of the young and healthy.

Like, three days a week of dialysis is a whole other level of icky.

    Good morning.

But you don't understand! Plain water tastes ever so slightly unpleasant in my mouth!

Are you on dialysis, or was that a hypothetical? I'm hoping it's the latter, obvs.

    Good morning.

    A hypothetical, thanks.

    That would suck, indeed.

Anyway, my demographic usually dies of undiagnosed illnesses and suicide, so it's probably more likely that my stoicism is technically a disorder.

Plus, I smoke like a chimney, a classic oral fixation if ever there was one, which is debatable, and a gross hypocrisy.

    Good morning.

You know, there's increasing evidence of a link between nicotine and schizophrenia.

Hope that helps with those undiagnosed illnesses there, buddy.

    Good morning.

There's a fine line between wandering mystic and mentally ill hobo.

And, seriously, that's a spurious claim with no real operant definition.

The link between cigarettes and schizophrenia exists, but I've never heard of a study suggesting nicotine causes it to be expressed.

Marijuana, certainly. Amphetamines, absolutely. Psychadelics, hey probably. Even coffee, in excess, I expect. But nicotine?

I think it's just that madmen lack impulse control and cigarettes were common in the last century.

    Good morning.

My understanding of the research is that nicotine helps control the symptoms of schizophrenia, and so people prone to schizophrenia are statistically more likely to be drawn to smoking.

But it was interesting to read about all your other vices too.

    Good morning.

So when I quit using snus three years ago, this happened as a result of my schizophrenia getting better?

    Good evening.

Hope yours is better than mine.

    Ugh, that sucks.

I once missed an episode of a TV show because of daylight savings. But these days I use a so-called "smart-phone" to tell the time, and it's smart enough to update itself at the right times, so now I don't have to worry about forgetting.

Having said that, this morning my laptop, which is also supposedly "smart", over-corrected and put itself back two hours instead of one. I had to go on the internet to find out what time it really was.

    Good morning.
