I can't seem to get any armor for my character. I've tried several using savegame before buying and then trying it to see if it will go on him. It doesn't so then I just go backwards to the savegame and I have NOT spent all that money. Where and how do I buy some armor for him? Please help. Swede
Hey hey hey, dwarves got very good armor! They've got platemail(magic ones being the best)I found like 3 platemail armors for Magnus(all magic), and they're very good, with added resistance, added armor and such. Now us both are cladded in shining armor :smile:. Median races got the best armor(dread Armor), followed by minute(platemail), then the large races(chainmail).
Actually, you have to go by sizes. Dwarves (and other minute races) get small sized armour, half-ogres get large sized armour, median races get the rest. By the way, Dread Armour is not the best armour. High AC, low DR, which is what really matters. Yes but half-orges cant wear them! They cannot even learn that schematic(half-orges have -4 intelligence). Neither can you ask ur followers to make that. You also cant create a tech character and make that and transfer items.
sogg is half ogre is he not? well if youre a tech you can make it and he could wear it... are you saying its impossible?
even when you start as a half-ogre and devote him to tech but no far enough you could always drink some essence of intellect and learn the schems nonetheless. you have 64 I think cp to spend throughout your game you could invest in int..
I think the ogre destroyers in the Sour Barnacle drop large platemail, you meet them when you're trying to get to Thanatos. Also, my dwarf obtained several very excellent pieces of armor during the game. He got dwarven chainmail, which can be found in Tarant at Wallow's Quality Armor, Dwarven Platemail, which a smithy in the Wheel Clan sells, and Iron Clan armor, which, I might add, is one of the best armors I've come across, is found in the Iron Clan.
Iron Clan armour does rock. You're not going to find +50 damage resistance anywhere else. Except maybe on arcane platemail, except that it has a magick bonus, whereas the Iron Clan armour's DR is NATURAL!
