Techinical Question

Hey guys...long time!

I came up on some software that supposedly lets you edit the dialogue files in the game and record/add soundclips for Arcanum characters and I really wanna get into using it. I have undated Arcanum but the dialog folders don't seem to have the dialog files. Can anyone shed any light on what I'm doing wrong here? (using WorldEd1070)

I think you didn't extract all Arcanum.dat files (there is one on the CDs)

 

Well I use dbmaker on Arcanum.dat only...are there other files?

Yeah, so hello...

I did it long time ago and I had the same problem before finding. If I remember correctly, Arcanum.dat contains 3 files Arcanum1, Arcanum2 and... Arcanum3
But in these three dat files, some things are missing including dialogues. Explore the 2 CD of Arcanum and you will find an Arcanum4.dat somewhere (probably on the second CD but I'm not sure). It contains all missing files except music files
