Has anyone else had Virgil say something to the effect of:

"Enough of this religious 'garbage' (he uses another word I can't remember) You can die on your own.

Note - This is pretty much out of the blue, it's not like I was attacking him when he said this.

I think it may be a bug...

It must be his "You are doing something I don't approve of, and am going to leave" speech...

I'm not joking when I'm saying I was doing nothing he should disapprove of. Unless Virgil finds staring at a wolf morally reprehensible.

I've also noticed it happens at certain locations in certain circumstances, which is what leads me to believe it may be a bug. It's not that serious. It's not like his opinion of your character drops after he says the dialog.

Virgil does seems to go very hot and cold. I accidentally threw the Gnome's Passport at him. His reaction to me went to -1000.

    John -

What kind of character did you have?
If you were, for example, an extremely evil, hideously ugly Half-Orc, who knows what trivial little thing might push Virgil over the edge?
OTOH, it does sound like maybe you've found a little bug.

    John R.,
Give us the details of the place/time/character make-up so others can perhaps replicate it.

He said that very same line you described to me once while we were seriously outnumbered in a battle in he became very injured.

I think it's his "run away" message not his "I'm leaving you" message.

I can't remember if he came back to me after combat. To be quite honest, I don't think I won that battle anyway

Here are the things that got Virgil to do his little speech:

    A. Watch two wolves fighting each other - the only place I've found his to happen is in the clearing with the two grown wolves, shortly after the group of wolves, and the single wolf, on the path down from the crash site.

    B. The other more re-creatable way to find the dialog is to cast Summon Undead right next to Lucas and the Half-Orc next to him. Every time I did that Virgil gave me his little speech.

B is definitely going to be easier to replicate.

If anyone else gets the same thing, I'd say you could safely assume that it's a bug.

Things to remember when you try and replicate the bug (using the above described B.)

    1. Make sure Virgil is by you when you cast it.

    2. Make sure you cast it right next to Lucas and the half-orc slightly behind them is preferable.

I believe from the feedback so far, we can safely assume that this is a bug.

If you descide to flee, how do you make Virgil flee as well? He just tends to stay and fight on his own, and the result of that is getting a bit tideous!
