So, what's your favourite 80's cartoon? I guess there are some undisputed classics like ThunderCats or The Transformers, but for me Visionaries will always have a special place in my heart. I don't know what in particular made me like it so much, I guess I just thought the concept was really unique and original as a child.

Why am I posting this? Well I've had the Visionaries theme in my head all morning so it seemed like a good idea.

My favorite 80's cartoon? While, I have not got a specific favorite cartoon, but I always have a really soft spot for Transformers, GI Joe, MASK and Jayce and The Wheel Warriors. Why? The big reasons for that is that I really love the atmosphere and the plots.

I do like Ghostbusters (The Ghostbusters and The Real Ghostbusters), Thundercats and Inspector Gadget as well.

Visionaries? Oh. Yes. I remember that. Cool cartoon indeed.

Ghost Busters and Thundercats, as well as Transformers. I also like Dragonball and Dragonball Z, but I didn't watch those until I was about 10, so I was about 8 years behind the Japanese who'd been watching those in the 80's.

MASK was the only one I really got into. He-Man didn't grab me, and I tried Thundercats. but the premise just seemed too unrealistic to me. I guess I was rather a pretentious kid.

I also liked Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque, which these days seems to be known as Saint Seiya. The French name was much better.

At the time, I would have said Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Voltron, or Ghostbusters, or The Legend of Zelda. This is because I had an older brother whom I had not yet grown out of trying to impress or conform with.

The truth is that I loved Adventures of the Little Prince and David the Gnome. The only show we really agreed on was Fraggle Rock.

Starzinger, but only the dubbed Swedish version.

    Edit: Oh, and Dino-Riders.

I was somebody's older brother when growing up, and we used to watch cartoons together too.

    Is that you, Kate?

Would you really want to know if it were? That wouldn't just bring shame and heartache?

What you actually told us is that you are gay for him.

    Slight but important difference.

    David the Gnome. Awesome show.

That and Mr Rodgers were like Valium for little kids. I used to watch that shit then it was NAP TIME.

I gave you too much ammunition to be able to pinpoint know from exactly which point you draw this conclusion.

I'll guess it was your mention of She-Ra.

Honestly, a young boy watching She-Ra is straighter than one watching He-Man. Of course, it'll take a decade or so for said boy to realize just how gay the entire male cast of He-Man looks.

    Thanks for the support, Grossenschwamm.

I'm guessing my My Little Pony and Care Bears references don't help my case either.

Suffice it to say I was watching these cartoons at the age when all immature humans are functionally female, so I won't accept the gay assignment for watching these shows.
