Baalnawox grieved for the archipelago of the undying, but knew that the Selkie would survive, spread as they were throughout the oceans and coasts. The selkies' haven had served its purpose and it had been a good eon while it lasted.

The age of creation was giving way to an age of destruction, and that was as it should be.

Direct attack was not this deity's style; instead he flowed like water around the assault and used its energy against his opponent.

    1. Uses the moon's impact to create a globe-spanning, supersonic tsunami which (at the very least) decimates (-10%) the surface dwellers.
    2. Directs the seamonsters to lead the heavy and unyielding Protectors deep under water, dodging like eels and wasting the attackers' energy.
    3. Spreads His influence (and monsters) into the new oceans of the underworld.
    4. Restores the Moon, minus the Protector fortress, so that there are tides again.
    5. Does not receive the envoys of Nightshade, but does not smite them either.

Dagos laughed in his tower as the waves crashed feebly against its unyielding dark stone. What could a fish ever dream of accomplishing against a god? How could water undo one who could will the world itself out of existence if it pleased him? The attack was nothing, but had to be dealt with nontheless. With a flick of his hand, the mad god turned the skies above the selkie settlements black, and with another he struck them with lightning. As the frightened creatures tried to flee to the sea, as was their custom, he made the waters boil with such heat that they cooked the few unfortunate individuals who had already reached the shore alive.

Having dealt with the Great Fish and his minions for now, the mad god turned his sights on the Dark One and called out for the survivors of his Protector race. He altered their minds to no longer want to protect his once so special chosen species, but to instead want the destruction of the dark goddes and her followers. He armed them with weapons and armor which shone with the light of the sun and left them to their fate.

Last, but not least, Dagos went to the minds of the minions of death. He made it so they would feel guilt and despair each time they ended something that had once been, and made some of them feel that they must end their own species before they could do more harm to the other "inferior" species.

Satisfied for now, Dagos sat back in his dark tower and pondered upon his next move.

Act 1: Smote the settlements of the Selkies with lightning
Act 2: Cooked some of the survivors alive by boiling them in the sea
Act 3: Made the remnants of the protector race start hunting Nightshade and her followers
Act 4: Equipped the protector race with radiant weapons and armor
Act 5: Corrupted the minds of the creatures of the one which ends all so that they associate the ending of another being with guilt and shame

Ow, my civilisation! The selkie, a harmless and shy people to begin with, are severely traumatised as a species and after the second attack of the mad god, are seldom seen again.

Oh, well. This deity had never been that enthusiastic about multicellular life anyway. The soup of life that was the watery orb was, if anything, richer and more diverse than ever on the microscopic scale. It occurs to Baalnawox that there are even deeper, darker depths to plumb in the n-space of Life.

    6. Creates subatomic von-Neuman machines; self-replicating nanobots capable of working alone or in unison. Life, but not as we know it.

As the protector race bagan to attack her people, Nightshade began to weave together the darkness, opening up a gate to her void. The gate opened and the shadowmancers came flooding out. The horde came down and attacked the protectors. Tooth and claw, beast and shadow clashed against the protectors steel in the darkness of a moonless night.

Before dawn came that eve, the protector race's numbers had been decimated as the shadowmancers had once been.
Once dawn finaly did come, Nightshade enjoying the new game with her cursed humans sent most of the shadowmancers back to the void and kept a few generals and spies with her.

Act 1: Opened a portal to the void.
    Act 2: Slaughtered the protectors.
Act 3: Closed the portal with some shadowmancer agents on this side.

The nanites replicate themselves much faster than the original forms of life. Within a century, they are ubiquitous within the oceans and rivers of the earth.

With a command from Baalnawox, their programming changes. The children of Mad Dagos in the seas, the sirens and merfolk, are suddenly struck by scale-rot. The sores bud and hatch out thousands of tiny, metallic nautili which grow and organise themselves into a pogrom against the merfolk.

On the land, the nanites concentrate in a thick, silvery pool around the tower of Dagos, melting it into tar as its very atoms and molecules are altered, one-by-one. The tower becomes a tar pit, and the tar becomes a caccoon of carbon monofilament within a shell of neutronium, encasing Dagos and sinking through the earth to the core like a pebble in a pond.

Act One: Nanites evolve into parasitic robot nautili targeting merfolk.
Act Two: Tower of Dagos transmuted into prison cell at the core of the earth.

What mundane prison could hold a god? It was a jest, surely. The Kraken could not really think him caught. The mad god Dagos sighed but decided to humor the Great Fish for now by staying where he was.

Once comfortably positioned, his mind went to the new parasitic nano-species and gave them the greatest gift and curse of all, individual sentience. He also installed in them an urge to rival with their own kind, to fight for space and nourishment. Satisfied with the new great invisible conflict, Dagos turned his mind to the shadowmancers and the cursed ones of his chosen species.

The shadowmancers he made to worship a new false god instead of their creator.

The cursed ones he willed to curse Nightshade for their lot in life, to blame her for what all that had happened to them. They would never worship another god, seeing that all had betrayed them.

With that bit of work done, he decided to rest until the time came to do that which had to be done. He could feel it now. Their time and power in this world was running short.

Act 1: Gave the nanobot-beings individual sentience.
Act 2: Made them rival each other in the struggle for survival.
Act 3: Made the shadowmancers forget their creator in place for a new false god.
Act 4: Made the cursed individuals of my chosen species to hate all gods, but especially Nightshade.

The End of All watched how the Gods struggled to avoid what will come to everyone. They desparetly tried to deny that everything will come to an End, but He Who Is All Ends didn't fear, even though he was amused by their struggle. He also saw how Dagos created the seed of the end of His creation and tried to End everything. With this in his mind the End of All instilled in every creation in the universe with the fear of The End being near.

ACT 1: Instilled the fear of The End in everything (Call it the Rapture, Armageddon, etc etc.)

Feeling her control over the shadowmancers lessen, she knew that without proper guidance they could potentually destroy all life.
Seeing this Nightshade sealed the void, trapping the shadowmancers inside. She left but one way to open the void, a small key.

Nightshade may of lost control of the cursed humans as well but no matter how resistant the shape shifting ones were, she would always own thier animal side. In the day she had no control over them, but by night she still wealded complete control. She secretly sent several of the wolven kind with the key. They hid it in the womb of the earth, deep withing caverns of crystal that had evoided the other god's attacks. Here she hoped it would wait until the end of the world.

Nightshade saw a change coming, left without her shadowmancers, her eyes sat upon the humans, children of the sun. She came down to them, her appearance was that of purity and peace. They came to worship her as a Diety of good and the humans knew not of her evil past and the darkness that still lurked in Nightshade.

She still minipulated the shapeshifters, sowing evil and hate umongst the humans, knowing that they would need to be strengthened if they were to be able to do her will in the coming future.

    Act 1: Sealed the void.
    Act 2: Hid the key.
    Act 3: Seduced humanity.
Act 4: Retained a minimal control over the shape-shifters of the cursed.

Baalnawox senses The End Is Nigh.

Rising from the crushing depths, the age-old kraken shrugs aside an ocean of water and flies into orbit, tentacles and lightning bolts a-flailing. Tsunami, monsoon and cyclones follow in his wake.

He unlocks the gates of Limbo, releasing all of the drowned heroes and villains of the ages to fight a final battle.

Opens a rainbow-bridge (wormhole) in the ocean, backwards in time, to the golden age of the undying islands. Any selkie-kind who hear the call can make the crossing to the deep past and a place of (stagnant) safety.

Act three: Orbits the earth causing superstorms.
Act four: Unlocks Davey Jones' Locker. Zombie pirates for everyone.
Act five: Creates the Secret Straight Path to the Undying Islands.

[ooc- Just as with my imprisoning the Mad God under a mountain, I'm only making a tolkeinesque elven-afterlife for the sake of mythology, not power-gaming; also the zombies and storms are just for fun.]

And thus, the time had come for the deities of the watery orb to depart. Dagos felt the Nothingness awaken once again, and knew he would have to act before his time ran out.

He went to the minds of all living creatures and wiped their minds clean from the memory of the living gods, leaving them only with the belief that something had once created them for some sort of purpose. Some individuals would claim there had never been any gods, but most would remember names and some sort of distant history. The world would in time forget that the living gods had once shaped their world; the only legacy left by the deities sprung from the Nothingness would be myths and legends told and retold through all of time to the end of days.

Then, he rid himself of his earthlty shell and ventured into the void that one of his fellow gods had created, never to return again to the lands of the living.

Act 1: Made all living things forget the once so vivid presance of the deities.
Act 2: Left his avatar for the void of death.

The Nothingness returned once again to the universe it had created. The deities it had spawned had shaped the simple world it had created into something unique and spectacular, but now their time had ended. It removed them one by one, and left the remaining existence to itself. One day the Nothingness would return to finish what it had once started, but that day lay far into the future.

Final Act: Reoved the Deities from existence.
