For anyone that needs another copy of Arcanum, it's 30% off this weekend only on gog.

 

I just purchased Arcanum from Good Old Games. I can't load/install the unoffical patch. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't played Arcanum for years but got the idea again after seeing all the Steampunk people at Dragoncon this year.

 

What version is the game you installed from GOG? I haven't purchased Arcanum from them, but from my experience with perhaps a dozen other games there, they usually come prepatched in the installer. This can actually be a curse with a couple games, where you prefer the game without the patch due to significant gameplay changes...

 

GOG version is pre-patched to 1.0.7.4, otherwise it's identical to the US/UK release.

Run the patch as administrator/disable the UAC. Also, check the Arcanum forum on GOG for more info.

 

Starting today and running for a week GOG is having a sale on the diamonds of D&D. 9 games, $6.99 or less (USD) each or all for $30.01 (weird price). You get Baldur's Gate 1&2, Neverwinter Nights Diamond, Icewind Dale 1&2, ToEE, Dragonshard, Demon Stone, and Torment.

Also weird, if you select 5 or more games and none of them are ToEE, when you choose ToEE the total price goes down. Troika games are so buggy they devalue other titles?
