It was top secret game, even the title of the game wasn't published, and nobody knew anything about this game, till now. In few hours, they've managed to announce the game, publish the trailer, screenshots and website, plus make facebook and twitter page.

Also there is beta signup. What else you want them to do, in one day? Patience, pal.

 

You think its hard to create 5 months creating a website and then putting it online? I mean, as long as you know what to put where, it's just copypasting in a few hours. Not that impressive. And I still don't know what the hell it does.

 

The animated trailer makes it seem like a Dreamworks sci-fi movie (albeit one I would definitely see), but it really doesnt explain much about the game.

 

Of course that it doesn't, it's only a cinematic trailer.

No one is trolling this, stop being a crybaby. Creating Twitter accounts and Facebook accounts take no more than 5 minutes each. Like Wobbler said they could of had the site completed and only went live just now. With absolutely no description of what the game is about it isn't going anywhere fast.

Seriously, though. Tim Cain isn't there any more, so we don't care what kind of weird Starcraft MMO they have.

 

AFAIR, Tim Cain was lead designer, and was working 5 years on this game, and left just a month before it was announced. It's already in beta testing stage, so you may say that he *made* that game.

Also there are other guys from Troika, which are still employed at Carbine Studios, e.g. Steve Moret, Chad Moore and Jesse Reynolds. Also, AFAIK, Jason Anderson was working there for a while, while the game was still under development.

Fuck you are a retard. So far all we have said was the trailer explained nothing about the game and there was no information on the website. You obviously have such a hard on for this game that anyone who doesn't fall in love the first moment they see it must be trolling.

This echoes my thoughts, more or less.
I don't play on-line games, but I would watch this movie.

 

Disappointing. The trailer made it seem unique, and then they had to mar it with the most horrendous WoW-clone gameplay imaginable.

 

How is it a wow-clone? Is it the graphics? The UI? If the former, then I agree. If the latter, then I disagree... that UI has become the industry standard (Which, IIRC, was first pioneered by DAoC many a moon ago).

WoW-clone has become a deragatory, but I figure if you are the single most popular MMO ever, you have to be doing something right.

 

I meant the combat. Looks very uninspired. Also, popularity is not necessarily an indication of quality. Don't take me for a non-conformist, but I tried WoW, and I didn't like it one bit. So yes, WoW-clone is very derogatory for me.

 

About six seconds of gameplay that involved the characters from the cinematic running from side to side. Still not sold on this.

 

WoW clones have traditionally done poorly, because consumers know they can just play WoW.

This is a WoW clone, in graphics, UI, and gameplay.
