When stealing from someone who is asleep, I noticed that the chance of succeeding was (logically) much greater than had the victim been awake. But what would happen should the victim be unconscious instead? Shouldn't you then always succeed, no matter how low your pickpocket skill is? I know that this usually means that the victim will become hostile as well, even preventing the player from attempting to steal from it if I remember correctly. But I guess you could always make the victim pick up and wear an item that deals fatigue damage over time (e.g. Boots of the Dark Toll) and then loot it back afterwards together with the rest of the victim's goods. Plausible?
I don't know what the game world is trying to simulate necessarily, but realistically an unconscious character can wake up at any moment -- including in the middle of being looted. This might explain the less-than-guaranteed looting of an unconscious character. Looting a dead character is guaranteed, however.
Except those of us are heavy sleepers. I once had a girl manage to get me erect and it wasn't untiil she shifted me so she could ride me that I woke up. Best. Wakeup. Ever. Anyway, you coulda looted the shit outta me, and I wouldn't have noticed.
I find it very hard to fall asleep but nothing can wake me up. Once I slept through an earthquake, the only one in like 40 years. Except when my family is having a quarrel. That's instant wakeup and über rage. I imagine someone searching your body for valuables is kinda similar. Yes, actually that is a common technique to rob Wise Women. There are no good cursed items before the Baneful Gauntlets that cause enough damage to kill them tho.
Oh yeah, that happens to me all the time too... Does your girlfriend also has five fingers only and no legs? Or is she just ordinary sockpuppet?
You don't always succeed, but your pickpocket skill is greatly increased in such a situation, making successful theft possible even for those with no pickpocket skill.
While my claim to be a ranked Chess player was false, I waas telling the truth on this story. You can tell from the extra 'a' in was.
Did anybody else wait in Ristezze's shop until dark and then follow him into his bedroom to steal his chest key while he slept? Even with no pickpocket skill that was so easy it felt like cheating. I never wanted for gold after that.
I did that, but I didn't steal his key. I just got him erect. It wasn't until I had shifted him so I could ride him that he woke up. Best. Wakeup. Ever.
You know what that always happens - I'm like, "Where the fuck is that obituary I need?" kankn, with your name that just flows off the tongue, you're a saint.
