Small steam engine , i think ...
combine with fine plate mail to get ==>small machine mail ?? emm ... i can't find that steam works plz help me figure out

Steam Engine - you can buy it from an inventor, or other tech shops I think... they have them pretty often.

Fine plate main - you can buy it in an armory.

I believe u can find a steam engine in the shipwreck at Caladon.

The platemail I believe is the one you can make with a high smithy discipline..

Don't you need a minute steam works? They're pretty rare - only seen them at the inventor in Tarant's shop...as for steam engine, they're rare as well. There are two opportunities in the game to get machined plate mail (at least regular size). One is the firearms master quest, second is a quest in Tulla (strangely enough)...
