Followers and schematics...

Would it be correct to assume that followers can't use found schematics? I realize that's prolly a no-brainer but I wanted to check with you guys to be 100% sure. Thanks!

 

Nope, they can't use found schematics. Only you can.

Yeah, there's nothing stopping you from building any found schematic you want, even if your magic aptitude is pegged at 100. Kind of stupid I think, but it was probably easier for the programmers to do it this way.

Just use tech manuals to boost your tech disciplines, and use NPCs to build some of the parts if you can't do it yourself.

 

you can also teach your follwers if you picked a teacher background,

but i've never tried it so i don't realy know what exactly you're able to teach them.

 

if you have teach background then you can tech your followers only learned skills .....not schematics, spells etc.
And you must be at least expert to teach follower apprentice and master to tech expert....
IMHO this is very useless background

 

actually it is kinda good if you have an educator background for specific players...

if you're doing melee, dodge, throwing or bow master...followers who allocate points to the same discipline will get one level lower, so experts...which would make them be more efficient...

if you're a prowler...same thing...

healer too...

it seems pointless for people who do lockpicking, haggling, gambling among others... :smile:
