    Good Evening.

As per Muro's comments in Xaio's totally non-melodramatic, and important-otherwise-how-would-we-know leaving thread*, I am posting the first of what may be a series of 'shitty news round-ups.' (If nobody's interested I'll just slink away in shame, but I like talking about shitty news.)

So to begin with, here are two stories demonstrating how shitty it is to be gay according to the news.

First we have this - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/09/uganda-anti-gay-bill-hearings_n_859410.html

Yep, Uganda could be less than 72 hours away from passing that law making Homosexuality a capital crime.

Here is a petition I was sent getting right up in their shit about it, if anyone wants to make an inneffective contribution to defeating a law that wouldn't still be being talked if the Ugandan parliament gave a shit what we thought -http://www.allout.org/en/petition/uganda

What's more, this news - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-13295300 tells us that Gay men are more likely to get cancer.

    Which is weird I guess?

So all in all, not a good week gays. Good luck in Uganda (or getting the fuck out therof)

Just to round off, one not so shitty story. You may not be able to serve, but you can get married as fuck in their chapels http://www.queerty.com/queers-still...e-can-at-get-married-on-their-bases-20110509/

That was the first edition of Rain-Dog's shitty news round-up. Thankyou, and good night.

*Seriously guys, how can a thread built of so much hate turn into something so sweet? Oh you guys...

TLDR. It takes courage for you to come out to us not knowing how we would react. I must admit I had my suspicions first during the werewolf game when you blindly sided with Xiao to have me killed. Well congratulations nonetheless on your new found confidence to be yourself.

Signed, that shithole better be trying to develop itself instead of passing retarded and disgusting legislation like this.

I never watch the news. Thank you for making this. Now I know what's going on.

Being bisexual, I feel like I can really think and speak with authority about gay rights-related issues, while in reality neither side really wants to take me seriously because they don't quite believe me, so read this in a voice rife with self-assured* smugness:
I'm incredibly homophobic, but I think that's a little bit extreme.

    *deluded
I appreciated this bit. It made my inside-voice giggle. :)

Being a privileged straight white male, I feel I can speak with authority about pretty much anything.

And you're quite correct! We're the measure of authority!
