1)I was venturing into the Tarant sewers to see if I could find something useful, after some time in my mule character was full, so I started giving stuff to Virgil, wasn't expecting him to change weapons so I didn't notice he switched a identified mace for a unidentified generic sword... a long time later I checked his stats and there was loss, which appears to be permanent.

Previous research on this forum indicated that Virgil is somewhat important to the plot(try not to spoil btw) and adds quests and that using unidentified hexed weapons fuck up stats permanently...I've tried to fix this and another mistake I did in the beginning of the game by : Using a character editor, follower editor, hex editing my saves... nothing worked... what do you suggest? I don't want to mess with my registry or windows(char editor requires this), right now I don't have the patience to fight my way into the sewers again

If there's another character editor could you please provide a link?

2)Was it stupid to spend a few points on BE in the beginning of the game? I thought it affected quests and prices so I invested a few in it on my test char, but eventually I decided to use the test char for the full playthrough

3)Is there a legitimate way to repair my gear without lowering its HP?

4)Is there a legitimate way not to damage my gear in Black Mountain, and for that matter in the rest of the game? Without dismissing my party and going ranged

5)Sometimes the turn based mode reticles are a mix of yellow and red, what does that mean? And the spinning gear over the reticle means the character has gained a tech level or is it something else?

6)Is the Professor trait a good trait? Is there a Party Limit cap or you can stack all bonuses and have a ridiculously big party?

7)Magnus has suddenly gained a bonus to CN,ST and DX, and the bonus appears to be permanent, my game is patched(latest official patch), what could this be?

Sorry if something is hard to understand, not a native speaker

Prices - it does. The higher the beauty the higher the reaction, the higher the reaction the lower the prices.

Quests - mostly in a roleplay way. There aren't any bonuses from good reaction other than a warm "Hello friend!" at the beginning of each conversation. Low reaction doesn't block the possibility of talking with NPCs and getting quests, you just often have to persuade the NPC to talk with you, either in a polite, threatening or self-demeaning way.

Investing in beauty may be good when one has receives a reaction because of a background and/or reputations and doesn't want to deal with being treated like shit.

Being an expert in repair means the decrease is only 1/100 (=none if the item has 99 or less HP) while being a master in repair means there is no decrease.

You can either become a expert and master yourself or make an expert/master repair your stuff in exchange for coin. The junk dealer in Tarant is the most easily available expert in repair.

Use axes. They don't deteriorate when used against an otherwise weapon breaking enemy or container/door.

Same could be said about arcane weapons, but they are hard to acquire early in the game.

    As in orange?
Not sure if I understand this correctly. You mean the circle under the NPCs feet during TB combat? if so, the color represents the NPCs reaction. Red is hate, orange is dislike, yellow is neutral, green is positive, white is player.

    Spinning gear? Screenshot?

You probably mean the Educator background (you can train followers but your follower limit is lowered by 1).

Indeed, 6 is the cap. It is usually achieved by having 20 point in Charisma (each 4 points = 1 follower) and an expert training in persuasion (+1 follower). No matter the means, you cannot have more than 6 countable followers - countable emphasised because a few of them do ignore the limit.

His Mysterious Dwarven Gauntlets give such a bonus to a dwarf. He will keep it as long as he has them equipped.

What axes are of the unbreakable variety? So far the only axe I found that doesn't get damaged is Harrow.

There were some "spinning gear recticles" around Magnus when I was in the Tarant Sewers... I assumed it was something related to levelling. I don't have any screenshots right now, but I have a save some time before it happened, so I can try to replicate it if you want. I do have screenshots of disembodied feet, got me wondering wtf for a while after I noticed them.

About the mixed reticles, I meant sometimes in combat they're one third yellow the rest red and vice-versa... it's another graphics glitch right? When I made the thread I thought it was some sort of half-unaware AI state

How can I get the AIs to actually use their spells without modding and reduce lag caused by large parties? It gets specially annoying during combat as I can't get the camera away from the crowd.

And which mods and patches do you recommend for a second playthrough?

Your spinning gear animation was probably Magnus helping himself to an Haste potion. It represents a magical affect on the character's speed.

All axes are the same - there don't normally damage when used against mechanical/earth/fire enemies and doors/containers. Doesn't mean they can't get damaged during a critical miss, though.

Share them. No idea what you're talking about but hell, why not.

Drog's Unofficial Arcanum Patch - if you're mostly interested in playing a bugfree Arcanum with some restored content.

rroyo's A:WIP - if you want to experience a significant amount of new content created with the same feel as the original game (includes the not-latest-but-still version of UAP so there are hardly any bugs to encounter).

Polished Carcanum - if you want the game to become really difficult (or so I've heard) with wuote some new unique content as well.

Just a nitpick - all axes, just like all melee weapons, get damaged when attacking fire enemies. I think even Pyrotechnic Axe does. Not that attacking a fire immune creature with a fire-based axe is a smart idea to begin with.

I stand corrected - most axes get damaged when used against burning enemies. The Arcane Axe (as well as other arcane weapons) as well as the Pyrotechnic Axe do not, though.

Not that anyone would want to engage fire elementals in melee combat and ruin his precious armor, though, such foes are to be dealt with from a distance. Unless, of course, you want to strip naked and then fight them with arcane weapons. Used this strategy in one of my games, fun times.

I'm pretty sure the axes get damaged when attacking ore golems... to me it doesn't make much sense them being fire creatures, tag error, perhaps?

Feet, without a body. Not footwear, I think, since the game didn't "say" anything on mouseover.

Can they be used at the same time? Are there rebalances, as in better firearms, stats, merchant inventories, ammunition and shit?

Are there any gameplay differences between fast turn based and turn based? I read that there are differences regarding traps, but what else?

    Thanks for the answers guys

I stand corrected once again. Turns out the matter is a bit more complicated than I previously thought. The new compilation of data, after some testing:

Undamaged when used against fire/rock/mechanical creatures and metal containers/doors: all arcane weapons, Mystic Axe, Pyrotechnic Axe, Charged Axe, Iron Clan Hammer, some hexed weapons with very high magickal complexity

Undamaged when used against wooden containers/doors: all arcane weapons, all axes, Iron Clan Hammer, some hexed weapons with very high magickal complexity

I'd like to see that screenshot, I would.

    No, they're mutually exclusive.

Drog's UAP only fixes things, doesn't rebalance anything.

rroyo's A:WIP and Chris Beddoes' Polished Carcanum offer some subjective rebalancing.

Strip naked + Force Shield with maximum possible aptitude. I'd say it would work wonders.
