Viewing Arcanum scripts

I extracted the .dat files using Datbuilder in the hope to learn scripting techniques by viewing the original arcanum scripts.By viewing the techniques Troika used i was hoping to learn how they achieved certain things.

Now when i view there .scr folder only the 3 usual scripts are there Endlines,Credit and CDeath.

I extracted to sierra/uarcanum/modules folder i made from arcanum.dat,arcanumPatch0.dat,arcanumPatch1.dat,arcanumPatch2.dat and arcanumPatch8.dat.

So can anyone help me to view all scripts arcanum uses?
Also how do i change the files i changed to .dat back to normal so i can continue to follow the (Setting up for easy modding) forum.

Thanks again you were right i did extract the wrong .dat files.

I wish id continued playing 8 years ago it seems i may have missed the Arcanum wave of popularity.Still im enjoying the whole experience now and im glad there is still people out here to help.

 

I've tried over and over,looked at Arcanum scripts and i still cant work out one thing.

how do i add stat values to an item? example i want to add say 10 reaction modifier to some boots.I know its 14 on the stat values list but i cant get the script right.Also knowing this i could do other things like add str or dex bonuses to unique weapons i make for my mod.

I've tried separate scripts for wield on and off i think im choosing the wrong script type.

Please help my head is starting to go fuzzy!!!
