Speaking of Christmas, why coal? and what would naughty kids that ask for coal get?

 

Shit, maybe? But it's not like those naughty kids aren't going to get spoiled by their parents. Who do you think taught them to be naughty?

 

Ya know what I love, speaking of that, actually? Movies or tv shows where the parents and other adults don't believe in Santa Clause until the kids show them that he's real as he's leaving presents under the tree or some such. Where the fuck did these people think those presents were coming from all those other years?

 

Sounds like a continuity error to me. Or maybe the kid was just really awful until that one magical Christmas where they prove Santa.

 

Also, do kids think that Santa visits the whole world? including completely non-Christian countries that don't celebrate Christmas? And why don't people lie their cups horizontally in McDonald's when they're emptying their trays into the bin? It just doesn't make any sense!

Back to coal, I was watching BNN today, and apparently a pipeline over the Rockies is going to oversaturate the Natural Gas market. So, theoretically, coal is the better option and bad kids will get natural gas for Christmas.

 

A degree in smartassery, I would reckon.

Truth be said, I wouldn't know about the whole Christmas coal tradition if it weren't for foreign Christmas-themed movies and cartoons. We have none of that around here - instead, naughty Polish kids are supposed to receive a rod, being a suggestion that they deserve to be beaten with it.
