Follower disappearance

I had a follower, Sogg Mead-Mug, and he held all my stuff. I went to the Isle Of Despair and he poofed. I told him to wait as I went to the women's camp so as not to have him (and Virgil and Magnus and Dog) kill everyone.
I come back, there's Virgil Magnus and Dog all waiting, no Mead-Mug!
He's gone, can't find him anywhere, I've checked Shrouded Hills. And he has a bunch of items he was holding for me, most importantly an ancient gun chassis.

Any help? Command line to summon him, perhaps?

Edit: Figured I should say before anyone suggests, I am using the latest patch.

 

Hey, it sounds like he got impatient and walked away. Go to all the pubs nearby, ie, Ashbury, Tarant, etc. He defaults to the closest bar.

If he's pissed off when you find him, you can return to his favour with liquor, though I'm not sure which kind.

 

The big boy gets fully satisfied with a bottle of cheap wine.

 

He is at no taverns, bars, inns, and I've checked every town on this side of the continent.
Is there anywhere else he could have gone? Are you sure he defaults to the nearest bar, because that would be Ashbury, and he wasn't there; or in Shrouded Hills or Tarant or Blackroot.

 

Contrary to popular belief, Sogg doesn't go to no tavern nor pub after he gets disbanded. For reasons known only to him, he actually travels to an empty area just north and west of Lukan's camp in Shrouded Hills. You should go check there.

Err, now that I look at it, I meant to say north and east up there.

Are cardinal directions hard or what.

If you follow the shore south, you will eventually get from Ashbury to Tarant, but still...

 

Looks like due North to me.

 

It depends whether by "camp" we mean just the tents or everything up to the fireplace.

Even in the latter situation, though, in order to get to Sogg from the camp one would firstly go north and then turn northeast rather than just head directly north. Unless, of course, he would be one willing to get his shoes wet, but what self-respecting gentleman would risk that?
