Thorvald won't join persuasive gnome

Dear fellas,

My influential business gnome (LVL 22, Persuasion 100% plus Expert, CH 20, INT 8 but potion of intellect at hand) finds it impossible to get Thorvald Two Stones into his party. Already consulted tons of walkthroughs plus the Search option on the topic. Does the little muscle jerk cultivate some anti-gnomish racial prejudices in addition to his misogyny? In any rate the vital "are you a dwarf or a gnome" dialogue option doesn't show up ...

Thorvald has been trapped for over a century on that damned Isle because of a gnome. Your character is wise enough to not expect him to want to join one and he's right. In other words yes, Thorvald will never join a gnome, no matter his stats.

 

:x Well, he's not marooned anymore since his body was suddenly physically destroyed by a gnome's bodyguard. Sometimes a Half-Ogre's temper is so hard to control ...
