post # req. for self© av?

I've never encountered anything like this before, but there appears to be a post # requirement before a new member can upload, or link to a personal avatar image?

If this is a limitation implemented to control(reduce) bandwidth usage, and server storage size, my avatar images are hosted on my own site?

I don't see an option available to indicate an alternate site for them though, so maybe this is more of a content control implementation.

I picked the best image available for my av for the time being, but id really rather link to, or upload my own. Especially as i just made Avatar portraits that fit the arcanum inflectional paradigm. (Yes i made the AV. port.'s before ever actually running the program! hehehe! )

Based on this post, I have a good feeling you will probably never ever have a custom avatar on HoL.

 

There are more requirements than a postcount to earn a custom avatar here. You must've been an active member for some time, and you must have a distinguished forum personality. Also never, ever, ask for a custom avvie. That'll take you down to zero again.

And while I'm at it, I should probably tell you that you don't get to choose your custom avatar OR title yourself. That's the job of the rest of the community, when the time comes.

And I've got a feeling that your time won't come anytime soon, just like Japes said.
