How many different magic colleges do you guys put your efforts into? Should I focus on just 2 main colleges, going expert in both or is it better to spread yourself out over more colleges? I guess what I'm asking is how many colleges can you max out in giving the number of character points you recieve in the game.
spreading out is pointless, not enough points focus on one. Get disentigrate. ofcourse, it's only my opinion. You can always take off the xp. cap. and master all.
What college is disentegrate under? And which college are you fond of yourself, jinxed? Or are you a techie....?
It depends on your play style, my last mage char mastered Force, Conveyance and Summoning college with of course learning some 1st and 2nd level spells from others colleges (Harm spell from Necro Black is *necessary* for all magick users) Now I play tech gal with Idiot savant background and *wow* it is a great fun.....3 _________________ ...Nothing is impossible... [ This Message was edited by: William Walker on 2001-11-08 18:25 ]
So, william you're saying that there are enough char. points earned in the game to master two or three colleges, with level 1 or 2 in several of the other colleges? I hope that's the case. I would like to have several magic spells instead of using just one college the entire game..
Easy math: You begin with 5 char points, every level is 1 CP and every fifth level you gain another 1 CP 5+50*1+10*1=65 char points You must have some background with significant willpower bonus to don't waste CP on basic stats
Well, my mage is about level 26 right now. He has gotten all the spells in three colleges as well as a couple other low level spells. He has 21 in willpower (started out as an "only child" elf). I have also upped his constitution a ways and have started investing in haggle (don't really need to at this point, but I hate to get ripped off). You will have plenty of points to spread around. You can master several colleges of magic and still play with other skills and attributes.
Try Fallout. That was my first serious RPG...glad my friend bought that. Introduced me to the wonderful world of CRPG's. For me, Arcanum is the best CRPG I've ever played. Although I agree, this isn't a good one to start off in...
