Hmmm....I'm sure I remember not seeing a halfling coming up to him .......what gives??? After talking to him nothing happened so I just exited the area.
Talk to the firearms master for a long time. Go through all of the dialog options. After you are done, talk to him again, and go through all of the remaining dialog options. If the little dude still doesn't show up, do it again. Stand around a while and the little guy will show up screaming about his wife. Read that note, then talk to Willy and read it to him. Pretty much anything you do (following the dialog) will get you to the quest where you take out the Willenbacker gang and save the little dude's wife. This is a hard fight. I killed everyone, but was unable to save the wife about the first 20 times I tried it, until I discovered a little trick....
Ya it should work. Perhaps you don't have your skills in firearm all filled, and so the event is not initiated? About how I beat the gang, I probably try like 30 times at lvl 18 before i got it done properly. What you do is you HAVE to go in from the side door. March right in. The ogre beating on the woman will stop beating her and come chasing after ya. The rest is up to you. I used grenades to finish them off.
I waited and waited.....even fast forwarded the time by one day.....NOTHING!!?!??!! I got soooo pissed off I just shot the bastard using his own sniper rifle...hehehehhe Next target : the king of cumbria..... Now to get the editor....... PS: I was level 30 when I talked to him ...expert at firearms....but my alighment was -25....could this have affected anything???
