Hello everybody, first post here, for a little problem I have [IMG]

I patched Arcanum with all fixes and mods, it's ok, it works. But the HiRes fails.

I have an Iiyama Prolite 24" and Windows Seven 64 bits. When I apply the HiRes patch, I can't see anymore what NPC are saying. Only if I do a thing: put the hero answers area on them.

You will understand with these screens:

    http://tof.canardpc.com/show/8a1c669e-2 ... 1a90e.html

    And the entire resolution:

I tried everything, it doesn't work. Even in 800.600!
Obviously, when I remove the patch, and play in 800.600 again, it works. But it's a little big :-o

Please help me, you are my only hope :-( :x :p
    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a video card related issue. Try running the game in the safe mode. It's accessed via a shortcut named "Arcanum Safe Mode" in your start > programs > sierra > arcanum menu. Or alternatively you can just add -no3d to your shortcut to achieve the same effect. E. g.:
    C:\Sierra\Arcanum\Arcanum.exe -no3d

I have an AMD ATI Gainward Golden Sample HD4850 1go.

I ever tried this: it's catastrophic :-o The game is laggy, loads with several minutes, and VERY slow.

Edit: okay I tried again (with -3d). It works (sentences appear on screen).
But it's unplayable. Seriously :-( Like I said, the game is very, very, VERY slow.

Seems pretty strange. Try updating your video card drivers.
