Halycon altar/gods quest after patch

hi there!
does anyone know what to do if the halycon altar does not get normal after solving the vooriden quest?
i'm trying to solve the gods quest, but i cannot until the alter in vooriden is ok again.

When I ask the dwarfen priest if I may donate, he tells me that I shall go to the
altar and the altar will tell me.
After delivering the stone the altar looks
OK but seems to be still defective as it doesn't tells me what to do.
The part of it where to donate doesn't 'open'
so I've tried to put the olive tree into my
belt and then use it on the altar but then
my followers just start to attack it.

Do you think this is a problem with the patch? Then I will reinstall the original.

I found a solution for the Halycon altar bug on the german sierra forum:
you need to undat arcanum4.dat, then edit "01269Edwin_Wallows.dlg" in line 94. In the last brackets insert "gf2535 1" and save the file in ArcanumDatadlg. This will mark the altar quest as done.
WARNING: This is for the german version, i don't know if it is the same line as in the english version. Content should be something like "...may i sacrifice something?" or the like.
NOTE: This isn't cheating, for this line will only be available after solving the repair-the-altar quest.

 

Just tested it. It most defenetly works. ^_^
