Tarant Problem with getting underground quests

Ok i've read the other posts about Lukan, and talking to the guy outside pettibone's. I've done the Elf stone quest, and all the other ones in Tarant besides the theif ones. I go see Thynor or whatever and he says "You've returned" thats it. I see Mr. Black and he won't talk to me. Nor will his shopkeep. I've tried drinking at the bars and talking to people. I think my problem might be because im a big ugly ogre with 1 for beauty. I killed Lukan btw. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

 

Underground

You have to get the map of the Tarantian Sewers to join the underground, after being asked to do it by Thaddeus Mynor.

 

I think that there's a bug in the game that prevents you from joining the Thieves Guild if you kill Lukan, and it kills your membership if Lukan dies. I once had a character that was in the Thieves Guild, went back to Shrouded Hills because I needed something from there, or I wanted to kill some people, and Doc Roberts was at the gate with a dead Lukan (forgot to turn Jacob Bens in to the good doctor, oh well). Killed him, checked my logbook and lo and behold - enemy of Shrouded Hills, and it no longer had the message saying I was in the Thieves Guild. And I wasn't. I couldn't get jobs, and I couldn't sell at the black market, so I had to start again.

If it is a bug, it really blows.

 

I killed lukan and turned in the guy to the doc in shrouded hills. Didn't get all the quests from shrouded hills because the sheriff guy won't give me any more quests. I guess i have to skip the thieves guild quests because there doesn't seem to be a way to make those guys talk to me. And i get absolutely no bar gossip so..... im pooched i guess.

 

Did you talk to the guy wandering around outside of Mr Black's store? He's only there at nighttime. He gives you leads on jobs such as Mrs Halster's water or Bates' gun schematic.
