How old is everyone? Are you old enough to remember how much of the man Jacko really was?

Had a feeling this'd appear on TA soon enough. I'm not old enough to remember too much having only turned twenty this year, but I did follow a good deal of his music out of personal taste. Liked the guy, so I consider it a genuine loss. Drog said it best with Rest In Peace.

Yea, I wasn't really a fan of his music, but I can respect what he did. Also, since I want to beat Philes to doing this, I thought I'd point something out: JcPenney is having a special in honour of MJ: All boys pants half off. :)

    Too soon! Too soon!

Personally, I wasn't fully musically aware at his peak--I was right at the cusp--and the man was an extremely gifted fellow. He turned weird recently (not that recently mind you) which is how anybody younger is going to remember him. Pity that.

I can still remember begging my parents to spin the Thriller record before it got dark. I couldn't handle it after dark.

    Half off indeed!

It's a shame, on various surfaces, be it music or controversy. Somehow that's a man I didn't expect being dead too soon, for a minute there I though it may be some kind of a joke.

The internet is depressing me with it's reaction to this guy. I can't go anywhere on the 'net without seeing this shit today.

However, I will say this: The dude was a musical genius and talent powerhouse before he got all crazy and shit. Too bad he didn't stay sane because he probably could have been a music legend instead of the butt of a joke.

I can respect him as an artist and his music, he was indeed a musical genius. I'm still not convinced he wasn't a paedophile though. So I have a neutral feeling on this one.

The stress of being the media's favorite freakshow, former musical genius, owing creditors sums otherwise associated with the fiscal debt of small nations, probably going through all sorts of weird procedures getting his skin bleached... given the circumstances, premature death does not surprise me.

Page three girls, outrageous front pages, scant journalistic credibility... The Sun is just pure fucking win on so many levels.

The way MJ got through the peado accusations doesn't scream innocence but neither does it say guilty
so I dunno about the whole thing

As a musician I liked a good deal of what I've heard but I'll admit that I haven't heard a great deal of them

I've only read The Sun once and have never picked up one since, not even to hit someone or thing with it

That would be because The Sun is good for burning and nothing else. It has no practical use beyond the feeding of flames.

I can only say that he was a very good musical genius, but alas, his sanity and health stood in his way to stay at the top. The king of Pop is dead, long live the king.

Well, if I didn't already know about MJ's demise, 10 seconds on 4chan would make me fully aware.
