Technology inclined?

    I loved the turn-based combat of Fallout, but as real-time combat is made available in Arcanum, I feel compelled to use it. I have not yet used turn-based combat and do not intend to.

    There are times when I wish I had real time in Fallout, I know kill me now. However I am a fan of being able to just run in circles or kite an enemy.

    Turnbased combat is so much better in Fallout than how it's handled in Arcanum.

    Of course, with maxed Luck, the Finesse trait and more Crit-enhancing perks than you could shake a stick at, SPECIAL has a tendency to get somewhat broken.

    14 mm gun, Supermutant, aim for the eyes. Just rinse and repeat.

    Every type of a character can be overpower in Arcanum. Magic users just have a bigger tendency towards that direction. Still it's nowhere near as overpowered as melee. And as for melee + magic, oh boy...

    Fallout wouldn't handle real time. Animation are made in a way so that everyone takes their time to act. For example it would bo so very balanced when fighting melee super mutants and ghuls. "Ugh, I'm gonna beat you so hard! Blargh, just stand still for a minute or two and maybe I'll be able to crawl close to ya!" When one wants real time Fallout, there's always Fallout Tactics.

    I just liked increasing Agility to get my APs up.
    Step around a corner,
    Shoot,
    Step back behind the corner.
