Hello all. Im new to the forums although Ive been perusing them for a while now. Ive owned Arcanum since about a year after it was release but only got as far as Tarant. At the time, I was living at home and my sister unwittingly uninstalled it thinking it was something else. Shortly after, I got distracted by some MMO and shelved the game for a while. Now I have it reinstalled, doing my first playthrough with Drogs UAP.

I was wondering if there is any way to view all of the preset character schemes from a level 50 view? Im trying to plan out a character and just want to use some of these schemes as a reference.

Hello, Jams! Welcome to the forum, and welcome back to Arcanum.

The Prima strategy guide lists the auto-leveling schemes. To be honest they aren't all that efficient (e.g. the Gunfighter-Doctor scheme finishes with three points in Melee). You might be better off planning your build on your own.

If you're curious about how useful a particular skill, spell, or schematic is, there are some people here who would be more than happy to share their experiences :)

Right now Im playing a Gun Technologist and although I feel my start is strong, im having some trouble figuring out what I want to invest points into later in the game. As far as stats are concerned, im guessing PE (for firearms), CH (for party members), and INT (for crafting) are my best options, but what about dex?

As far as Tech skills, im already invested in Gunsmithy and plan on maxing it. Some of the Gunsmith/Electric schematics look somewhat attractive, but I am unsure. Perhaps Gunsmith/Electric/Smithy to have access to ranged weapons and some nifty armor? Or is there something in the mechanical tree I would be missing out on?

    Your input is much appreciated!

It depends if you are playing real time or turn based combat. In real time, dexterity is not much of an issue, but in turn based it's great for everyone, since every point gives you one action point.

Mechanics and Smithy at top give you access to the best tech armor, and one little schamatic providing much joy. They also give you access to an item which is useful for a gun wielder with it's perception bonuses (and it doesn't need those ones at top).

Then again Machanics and Electricity give you access to the second top tech armor.

Mixing your Gun Smithy with Electricity will give you access to a great weapon, and Electricity by itself has Charged Rings, which are very useful for every tech player, especially in turn besed.
