My first time in the closed off sewers of Tarant, just wondering around randomly. I find some bandits. One of them is some sort of mage. Virgil, Magnus, and I slaughter them. Within a few minutes after killing them, some sort of spell (blue rings appear breifly around everyone) hits everyone in the party, including myself, for a bunch of damage. Magnus and Virgil immediately have hatred reactions to me, leave the part, and attack. Sometimes I reload and wait the few minutes out, and they decide to attack each other instead, and then who ever survives attacks me. It's like some sort of delayed spell designed to piss us off at each other. I tried a few searches through the board and through google and didn't find anything relevant. I have tried to tell both of them to leave the group, but still within a few minutes whatever it is damages everyone and they still get mad at me. I checked my log book and don't see any curses or anything else that might indicate the problem.
Are you playing with some mod installed ? The bandits there are normally just meat for butchering, so what you're experiencing is either related to some mod or has nothing to do with the bandits.
Think I figured it out. It seems to be when Fortifier wheres off. I like how there is no description for this item. I guess it behaves like Psycho from Fallout. Increasing damnage resistence temporarily and then kicking your butt with some damage after a few minutes? So it seems my followers had a "bad trip" and got mad at me when they "came down" off their high from the drug I forced them to take I'm running Drogg's patch with the extra content option and high resolution patch.
Yeah, the followers tend to overreact if you hurt them in any way. Also, I never knew what fortifier did.
I just came across this problem after using Fortifier for the first time. Did you ever figure out how to solve it? It's really annoying, and I'd hate to go back to an older save if I can avoid it.
Welcome to the forums, quixote23! May the denizens of The House have mercy on your being. By replying to a thread more than a week old, you have committed what is known hereabouts as a "gravedig." The more established members of The House abuse those who commit a gravedig. My advice is to take your lumps with good humor and avoid future gravedigs in the future. I can offer no constructive advice concerning the question you've posed, however.
