That works pretty well actually. Give one a pyrotechnic axe, wrap it in a mechanized plate and you've got an unstoppable killing machine.

How about a character that combines temporal and conveyance magick schools to either run past the enemies or bump them out of the way ? Also bumping enemies into walls does hurt them (a bit).

I never did finish my run with my 'medic'. She was all about healing and buffs, both magical and technological, and she let her allies do the fighting while she stood back and kept them alive. The closest she came to aggressive tactics were Stun Grenades and the Stun spell.

I should totally rebuild her. She was fun.

Brilliant :) The epitome of a complex!

Xiao_Caity, your medic concept sounds fun! When i had too much free time i used to play MMOGs, and my main characters were invariably support classes. After i finish or tire of my current Arcanum playthrough, i want to try a similar build :) Probably will nickname him 'Bandaid'.

As an aside,I'd like to try a character built for Prowl and the Tranquilizer Gun!

I bet she'd find your redwood like legs attractive. Only if you clubbed her and dragged back to your cave though.

Our children would be quarter orcs though, and with my luck, even though their mother would be the half-orc equivalent of [insert name of hot babe here], I'm sure they'd all suffer from the same genetic deficiency as Gar has.

How about a half ogre, no skills except dodge and throwing, and use the boulders you have to remove from that farmers field as weapons? It's a shame you can't pick up animals...

Uh-uh. I've done worse and survived.
A similar character proposal got a come-back of Splat Masterson from me.

All the time. My last three Fallout characters were male.

In Fallout it wasn't much different. In Fallout 2, however...

My current PS:portable character is a Male Beast Masterforce (bwahahahaha), I roleplayed a male elven monk for quite a while in the FFRPG, and I randomly create male characters in Arcanum. One day I'll even play one long enough to try and seduce Raven.

    *nods*

In D&D I generally take the leadership feat to gain a cohort of the opposite gender. (and a small army doesn't hurt). I rarely have them get involved with each other though - I don't like roleplaying both sides of a relationship.

I've beaten Arcanum, Morrowind, and Baulder's Gate (story) with both male and female characters. Currently, I alternate between genders when creating a character.

FUCKING AERIE!! Why the hell was she a romance choice? Why was she such a whiney bitch? WHYYYYYYYY??? *pant pant* Damn it, now I need a dose of either Xan and/or Haer'Dalis to get over this. I wonder where the tiefling's wandered off to this time...

I just can't get into the role of a female character I'm afraid, I think if genders had an impact on how proficient one was with their class then I'd be all for it. As it stand I just cannot support say a female who looks like she is on a diet of twigs and leaves who can knock an ogre out with one punch.
