I love Fallout and Fallout 2
I'm playing Baldurs gate 2 right now.....its ok but not half as good as the Fallouts
I also really liked The Longest Journey... its not really in the same class as Fallout but its a very different( and enjoyable) experience.
I only really play rpg's except when I'm playing with my daughter ( she's 5 ) on the Playstation...(we just finished Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue in two player mode...lol)
I'm really looking forward to Arcanum!
it sounds like it could be the best yet!

Since nobody els edits there post instead of posting a new post, I might as well add Torment as RPG and Warcraft2 as RTS.

Look at the size of the ikons "edit" and "post replay" now draw your own conclusions. Besides you don't get any bonuses for editing.

Wojit>> If I remember correct, Planetarion is a free online browser-based strategy game similar to Utopia or Dominion (in case you've heard of them).

    Adventure:
    1. Monkey Island (on my 286 16mhz 1mb ram pc!)
    2. Monkey Island 2 and 3. (havent played 4 yet)
    3. Most of the Lucas Arts game (Day of Tentacle, Sam n Max, Indiana Jones series)
    4. Beneath a Steel Sky

    RPG:
    1. Fallout 2 (its also amongs my best all time game list as well)
    2. Fallout 1
    3. Planescape: Torment ( Torment could teach many rpgs a bit about story telling!!)
    4. Final Fantasy series (7 was my favourite)
    5. Baldurs Gate 2
    6. Might n Magic series (be better if it were isometric instead 1st person)

    RTS:
    1. Dune 2 (the original, and the first RTS)
    2. Command n Conquer
    3. Red Alert (my first modem-to-modem multiplayer experience!!)
    4. Star Craft
Ive played many other RTS, but most of them were dissapointing.. ie. Homeworld, Star Trek: Armada... mostly stuff with fancy graphics but no real RTS elements.

    Action:
    1. Jedi Knight (my first online action game!)
    2. Half Life TFC (2 years devotion, then moved on to Tribes 2)
    3. Tribes 1 and 2 (Tribes 2 owns them all now!)
    5. Counter Strike (on and off, been playing since beta3, but now cheaters ruined it for me!)

    Simulation:
    1. Wing Commander series (wc1 is my first pc game experience)
    2. Privateer 1 and 2
    3. Sim City 2000
    4. Settlers series
note: The Sims was one of my biggest gaming mistakes ever.

Also enjoyed Civilaztion 1&2, Colonization, and Transport Tycoon heaps.

Games ive got currently installed: Tribes 2, Baldurs Gate 2, Fallout 2.. notice how they all have 2s.

You know what I'm talking about..the thing...with the caramel...and the lettuce...I just want you to stop it.

Also, I'm not too fond of the business with the moose, but it's okay. For now.

Red Alert and RA2 were both Tank rushes, Westwood is losing its quality faster than IP has

But arent all RTS have mainly 3 factors.

    1. Numbers
    2. Power of individual unit
    3. Strategy

The way i see it, in all RTS games you will often win with simple numbers. However, an attacking force with 10 tanks fighting on 10 defending tanks will lose if the defending player is good. Why? simple advantage of a prepared formation, terrain, or base defence structures.

You expect to win a war with a few "cleverly" used units against an armada? Not very likely.. If those 50 zealots/hydralisks come knocking at your door, you better have massive firepower to greet them back.
