Sorry I posted this in the wroung section earlier. I just got my Arcanum game That I bought from ebay, And I do so love the game so far. Ive been just goffing off for 3 days but Im have so problem. In the game Arcanum,I cant get the stats to go up any.Im level 8 and im not getting any points? What am I doing wrong. Thanks for any help that you can give me.
You probably have an auto-level scheme active. Click on the icon in the top right corner of the character editor menu and select 'no scheme'. I've deleted the other thread.
No, I have not as of yet downloaded a patch. Which one would you suggest, pray tell. Thank you so kindly for your response.
grab the 1.074 patch from the downloads to fix the worst bugs, add the current version of UAP to fix pretty much everything and get content back. maybe grab the no-intro-movies and no-permanent-noises patches from the threads. I'd suggest playing once with UAP, then making a clean uninstall-reinstall-patch to 1.074 and apply Rroyo's A:WIP current version to enjoy some new shiny extra adventures. there are extra modules (independent storylines AFAIK) in the downloads' section too, but you have to ask the reverend elders about them.
Thanks I have downloaded the 1074 patch,now once thats downloaded and I do the run do I have to put it in the files that house the Arcanum game or does it go where it needs to go? Thanks
I think I've once encountered a glitch that prevented me from getting CPs - when I left unspent points during character creation. Or maybe haven't even spent one of them (what was I thinking) and started the game. Even though I've reached lvl 2, I still had 5CPs, as well as on lvl 3, when I restarted the game. It was way back when I've been just discovering Arcanum, so I won't guarantee I remember that correctly. Just a thing I've recalled.
