DF: Sorry...I mean if you had a second CD drive, then you could try the CD in there.

BTW: Thank you for the congratulations.

Yuki: You could also try to install the game on the D: Drive.

Left4Dead is ALL action and nothing but.

I just did not GET that game... did not understand the appeal.
I bought it after I was hearing how it was the best multiplayer experience in years.. blah, blah, blah...

    * Here is what would have made the game great though:

They should have differentiated the characters a bit.
    - Maybe a long range sniper DPS type that is uber-damage, but weak AC.
    - A healer
    - An area-effect, close range damage type (maltovs)
    - and maybe a pet type (someone who could perhaps use dogs or someone who maybe invented a syrum that turns the zombie back to human for a few minutes to help fight)

Then it would have felt less generic to me.
But, a LOT of people loved that game...

edit: Umm... I just woke up so I just realized that I think I responded to a sarcastic post...lol

And maybe a character who's only fighting close combat and is an expert in the art of stealth. Long swords might be included. Or, possibly, someone trained in arcane spells. No wait, I got it! A LEVELING SYSTEM!!! Talent points, unique stats and abilities for every character... Man what a game. I'd play that every for sure.

We could add some dialogue options for the larger zombies. Preferably with bad voice acting and zoomed cameras, just for the hell of it.

Well, we could, but we would be back to Two-Worlds.

Better still, we should stick the characters in orange jump suits and give them all crowbars!!!

Now we are talking gaming gold!!!!

ToEE still pisses me off every time I think about it. I could never get it to run, so it's truly a gleaming silver coaster of Troika failure. Damn you Troika! Why did you have such brilliant ideas, yet such piss-poor programming skills? WHY?!?!

I usually get it to work nowadays, but then again, the Co8 have had like 6 years to tinker with it now.

They have plenty of games like that, any MMO to date has that.

    Um....

    ... and???

MMos, while great in their own way take both:

$ - pay to play (most)
    also, MMOs take investment (time)

Left4Dead was designed as a quick, multiplayer experience where you were supposed to have fun with friends in a mindless kind of way.

I simply meant that (in my opinion), it would have been better if it had been more like the Xbox 1 game with the preacher and the other 3 (I forget game), where you fight hordes of undead and whatnot.

My point was simply that that 1st Xbox game was a blast and the multiplayer aspect gave each player a different role whereas (at least for me) left4dead was just the same 4 morons running about doing the same thing.

Could you play as zombies in that game?

    no, I don't think so...
I do not remember though, but to the best of my recolection you could not.

However, there were 4 characters (the older Bible wielding + healing preacher was my favorite). There was a biker with a shotgun and a hot girl that was really quick with range... etc

And there was 2 major modes of attack for each character (i.e. the 1 guy used area effect type shouts, but could use duel-handguns in a pinch)

Not sure on the specifics, but I remember LOVING the game (In fact, I am gonna dig up the name and prolly get it again to play)

And I'm guessing there was a 'quick game' mode, and a 'long campaign' mode.

You could also play online and add DLC to it. And eventually, there would be survival mode, where you would simply survive for as long as possible. Oh wait. :/

That sounds like Hunter: The Reckoning. But I don't remember if there was a preacher in it or not. I'm pretty sure, though, that that was a White Wolf game, which gives it some early merit. Speaking of White Wolf: Vampire: Bloodlines...excellent buy regardless of price. On the other hand: Vampire: Redemption...really, really bad purchase. I do hope the White Wolf MMO will be good, if it's still in development.

... and I thank you very much, good sir!

It was Hunter: the reckoning indeed!
Now, I am off to find it so I can run through it again... Cheers!

Is that anything like Gangsters 2? I've had a craving for that game lately. =\

No. It's more like a good Scarface, a bad Saints Row 2, and a way improved version of the original game.

Completely out of nowhere, but am I the only one that absolutely HATED Grand Theft Auto 4?

I was bored within an hour and the extra stuff that you could do in the city (i.e. drink, bowl, strip clubs, etc) was just painful...lol

I admit the presentation was good and the voice-work was top-notch, but the gameplay... UGGG!

I had way more fun with Saints Row 2.

Ok, that is enough from me....
