I just started playing again after a few years and got a bow character high enough to get expert. I have a elven hunting bow. Expert said it allows you to fire 2 arrows at once but when I attack it only fires one. Is this a glitch or am I doing some thing wrong?
Actually, this is something I've encountered as well. I have memories of Raven shooting two arrows per shot while playing vanilla Arcanum, but that hasn't happened since. Has this been altered somehow through the patches? And if so, then why?
Bah! If I can live with multiple bullet loss when firing the mechanized rifle, then surely I can live with multiple arrow loss in exchange for increased damage.
havent done a expert bow recently...but i doo remember multiple arrows years back prepatch wolfsbane?, there is actually a cow level.....a disco and chicken as well. rats , wrong game again.....rpg senility sucks
The pyrotechnic bow is quite worthwhile. IIRC you don't get to see two arrows flying, but the hit does double damage. Or rather, it hits twice, with separate damage roll for each one - but its either a double hit or a double miss. Turn on the verbose combat messages if you haven't already.
If anyone ever feels like rebalancing Arcanum, giving guns and bows more stopping power while significantly decreasing their combat speed would be a top priority. It goes without saying that when you can't travel from Tarant to Dernholm without carrying enough ammunition to see an entire battalion through an average war something is royally fucked up.
